MORE INFORMATION

From October 14-16, 2026, the Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources will gather at the intersection of history, innovation, and natural wonder in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ranging from critical updates on policy developments to hands-on strategies for addressing compliance and litigation challenges, this fall’s panels will offer road-tested guidance for a multitude of settings. Attendees will hear from leaders across government, private practice, academia, nonprofit organizations, and industry, each bringing a unique perspective informed by diverse geographies and regulatory regimes.

Both full days of programming will feature a rich exchange of ideas reflecting national trends and regional nuance. Our outstanding panelists will explore timely topics that include the environmental effects and energy demands of data centers, Supreme Court administrative law changes, evolving emission standards, and savvy environmental rights and climate litigation. The conference’s emphasis on practical strategies will be particularly apparent in our discussions on waste reduction and extended producer responsibility (EPR), inspection and enforcement readiness, in-house counsel, and water rights settlement negotiations. Whether your practice toolkit can benefit from our “science for lawyers” session, our PFAS deposition and witness preparation workshop, or our pro bono advocacy ethics panel, Albuquerque will have something for everyone looking to sharpen their skills and keep current.

In this era of great uncertainty, environment, energy, and resources practitioners must remain informed, adaptable, and always grounded as to technical, legal, and financial realities. The 34th Fall Conference is a tremendous opportunity to expand your professional network, look to the horizon, and stay ready for all the curves ahead. We hope you will join us.
