ABOUT THE SKILLS COMPETITIONS
ABA Skills Competitions offer students an opportunity to hone the skills that students will use as a practitioner through intra-school, regional, and national competitions. Students will meet with fellow law students and legal practitioners from around the nation.
The ABA Law Student Division Arbitration Competition promotes greater knowledge in arbitration by simulating a realistic arbitration hearing. Participants prepare and present an arbitration case, including opening statements, witness examinations, exhibit introductions, evidentiary presentations, and summations. Experience what it is to be a professional, competent, and ethical advocate.
Registration is Now Open
Registration is limited to 48 teams on a first-come, first-served basis. Early registration is encouraged. Registration will close on the deadline or once capacity is met.

Eligibility The competition is open to all ABA approved law schools. Competing students, including alternates, must be an ABA Premium Law Student member*.
ABA Skills Competitions provide a means for law students to practice and improve their courtroom skills. The simulations consist of a common set of facts known by all participants and confidential information known only to the participants representing a particular side. However, Negotiation varies with each round & level of the competition; all of the simulations deal with the same general topic.
