ABOUT THIS EVENT
Nearly every case that we as construction lawyers handle goes to mediation whether because of contract provision, a court order, or an agreement of the parties. While the Forum on Constructions Law has delved into topics involving mediation regularly in publications, webinars, and programs having a program devoted to construction mediation is something that the Forum has not undertaken in recent memory. As a result and as the calendar turns to 2027, the Forum will return to a city that we have not visited in over a decade: San Francisco.

Our program, "Good Vibes, Better Outcomes: Advancing Collaboration and Mediation in Construction Disputes," will focus our attention on the entire mediation process. Attendees will hear how drafting contract clauses can help focus project participants on dispute resolution rather than simply disputes. A second session will focus our attention on how to help clients avoid disputes in the first place during the project. After starting with efforts to avoid the problems in the first place, the program will then turn its attention to the nuts and bolts of mediation: preparation for clients and lawyers, insurance coverage questions, mediator strategies to turn parties' attention toward resolution and away from fighting, and the ethics of mediations themselves.
GROUP REGISTRATION
If you have a total of 4 colleagues who are interested in attending our event, one person must register them using the Group Registration feature.
Group Registration allows you to register and pay for multiple individuals at once, making the registration process faster, and saves each registrant $50.
