ABOUT THIS EVENT

The ABA Commission on Law and Aging is hosting the 2026 National Aging & Law Conference at Syracuse University College of Law with the theme - The Right to Age Well: Advancing Law, Equity, and Human Dignity. Gather with attorneys, judges, advocates, researchers, academics, medical professionals, social workers, policymakers, and others to explore legal and policy issues impacting people as they age.

NALC brings together legal practitioners, thought leaders, and advocates to share innovative approaches and best practices that strengthen the right of all persons to age well with dignity and respect.

We are proud to host the 2026 National Aging & Law Conference at the Syracuse University College of Law! The conference runs all day Friday and until 1:00pm eastern on Saturday. Meals, including a sit-down conference dinner on Friday, are included with registration.

This year's conference focuses on the right of all people to age well. Sessions will explore evolving legal, policy, ethical, and practical issues affecting older adults, people with disabilities, caregivers, and the professionals who serve them. Speakers will discuss how changing demographics, federal and state policy reforms, health care systems, guardianship law, housing instability, immigration policy, and interdisciplinary practice models are reshaping laws, policies, and practices.

Conference will begin at 9:00 am ET on Friday, October 9.

Conference will end at 1:00 pm ET on Saturday, October 10.
