ABOUT THIS EVENT
This year’s joint conference is a must for those looking to learn about developments across the False Claims Act practice or about broader state and federal healthcare fraud enforcement developments.
The substantive agenda for this conference will offer the best of both worlds and bring together plaintiff, defense, government and in-house experts and practitioners to share knowledge and experience in these areas.
MORE INFORMATION
Day One will cover in-depth issues involving False Claims Act matters, including an update on the legal landscape, trial, settlement and damages, in-house counsel and state enforcement roundtables, and an overview of healthcare developments. Day Two will feature an ethics panel and then offer two separate paths that attendees will choose in advance. One path is for those wanting to delve deeper into healthcare enforcement even beyond the False Claims Act, including criminal enforcement, collateral administrative consequences, compliance programs and corporate integrity agreements and self-disclosure. The other path will focus on False Claims Act practice outside of healthcare, such as procurement fraud, cybersecurity, trade and customs, investigations in an age of new priorities, and parallel proceedings.
The Qui Tam & False Claims Act and Healthcare Fraud Institute will provide a rewarding educational experience for plaintiff and defense counsel, prosecutors and investigators, health care attorneys, regulators, compliance professionals and consultants. It will draw panelists, facilitators, and participants from each of these significant groups and offers unique opportunities to meet and share experiences and concerns in a non-adversarial setting and during various networking opportunities designed to maximize attendee participation. The program planning committee for this year’s joint conference is committed to creating a program that advances education, communication and professionalism.
